Her guiding philosophy is simple: every patient should feel heard, supported, and empowered by the latest research and technology to achieve their skincare goals.
Julie earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with honors from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Philadelphia University (now Thomas Jefferson University) and was certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) in 2002. She began her career in emergency medicine before discovering her true passion for dermatology in 2005.
In addition to her clinical practice, Julie is a committed leader in advancing the PA profession. She co-founded and served as the founding president of the Ohio Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (OSDPA) and continues to play an active role in advocacy. Her dedication to education led her to a faculty position at Ohio Dominican University’s Physician Assistant Program, where she served as Assistant Clinical Professor, leading the dermatology curriculum and procedural labs.
Julie maintains active memberships in the Ohio Association of Physician Assistants (OAPA), the Ohio Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (OSDPA), the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA), the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE).
At Advanced Dermatology of North Central Ohio, Julie combines deep clinical expertise with a warm, approachable style that puts patients at ease. She is known for identifying underlying skin issues patients may not have realized were treatable, always striving to provide the highest level of care and advocacy.
Outside of dermatology, Julie enjoys traveling, discovering new cuisines, staying physically active, and spending time with her family. She believes that meaningful connections—both in and out of the clinic—are essential to living well.
